What’s On My Shopping List for Spring Fashion
I go through waves when it comes to shopping. There are times when I could care less about shopping for new clothes and there are times where I’ve been bit by the shopping bug. Lately, let’s just say…I’ve definitely been bit by the shopping bug!
I’ve been turning over my closet like crazy. Doing some spring cleaning and getting rid of the clothes that no longer serve me. (Peep my Poshmark) I’ve really started to cultivate my own sense of style and so far each piece that I’ve purchased has represented this change. I want to freshen up my wardrobe with pieces that are more me. I also want to find new staple pieces that not only fit my personality, but fit me. I realized a lot of my clothes don’t fit me right because I’ve downplayed the necessity of getting the right fit. I definitely won’t do that again lol!
This season I find myself gravitating towards neutrals with a slight touch of color. You know how I would describe it? I would describe it as Coastal Chic with a touch of Sophistication and Glamor. This doesn’t describe my whole wardrobe, but this just describes the season that I’m in right now.
Without further ado, here are some of my top fashion pieces that I’ve been eyeing.
Dress Shirts
I have been obsessed with dress shirts lately!
They’re a classic and I find it so funny that I do not own one myself. I personally would love to get a few different colors and sizes. Along with having a fitted shirt, I love the look of an oversized dress shirt to be used as a beach cover up or styled over jeans. Perfect for any occasion and can be styled in a variety of ways!
Light Cashmere Sweaters
I love a good cashmere sweater!
Since spring is a transitional season with still some colder days, these sweaters are perfect to wear. I love the look of lighter colors such as beige, light blues and grays. Transitioning from turtleneck sweaters to lighter (but still warm!) crewnecks can make all the difference in styling a spring fit.
Light-Colored Pants
I’m sure you’re definitely seeing a theme here. What can I say, I am loving neutrals for spring!
I love the look of white or light neutral toned pants. I think you can find some very great quality pants or trousers that give you a beautiful silhouette that can be styled with almost anything.
Sunglasses
The need for a new pair of sunglasses is real!
I’m sure we all know that sunglasses are a great accessory to any outfit. I’m currently on the hunt for a new quality pair of sunglasses that can easily go with any outfit and most importantly, fit my face shape.
As you can see, I have a few things on my shopping list to purchase in the next coming months. I would love to remind you that it’s all about filling the holes you currently have in your wardrobe.
