All About Women’s Watches
Watches are very beautiful pieces. What you may not know is that many watches also make great investments. To some they may solely be a statement piece to add to any outfit, but to others (myself included), watches are art. They have a history, a story, a particular configuration, and great intention behind their original creation.
To the amateur eye, some very expensive watches can go under the radar and aren’t well-known to those who don’t know watches. It’s sort of a “if you know, you know” kind of situation and you’d be surprised to see that the ones you’d least expect are actually more expensive than some of the all-blinged-out, eye-catching watches you see worn by many celebrities.
Long story short, since watches are something I love to learn and talk about amongst friends and family, I thought I would share the watches that I’ve learned to be great investment pieces for women. If you’re a woman that is looking to purchase your first watch or simply add to your collection, these are the watches I would personally consider.
Now that I’ve briefly introduced each watch that I see most often worn by women. I thought I would share my personal opinions and suggestions when considering adding a watch to your collection.
If you’re looking to invest wisely in a watch, I’d recommend looking into companies like Rolex and Patek Philippe versus purchasing watches created by jewelry brands. Watches created by companies with a vast history solely for watchmaking are pieces that will hold more value over time versus watches created by other companies. This also goes for other designer brands that create watches as well. The quality, service, and craftsmanship that comes from timepieces created by actual watch brands are incomparable to other brands. The watches from Cartier and Blvgari pieces are beautiful pieces to have in your “jewelry” collection, however, they should be treated as such — jewelry rather than timepieces. You may not get as much return on your investment like you would when investing in Rolex, Patek Philippe, and like companies.
There are plenty of watches out there that are great investments and this post doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface on all the available options. However, I thought I would share a few that I believe to be beautiful pieces I see most often worn and enjoyed by various women online and in-person. Watches are personal and everyone has their specific taste. I personally love to see watches that are elegant, classic, timeless and created intently with a specific purpose and defined history. But, that’s just me ;)
I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you would like me to do more dedicated posts on these watch brands and go over some more fun pieces as I learn more about the industry!
